Stop marketing to yesterday’s definition of today. What do I mean by that? Too many business owners get stuck in a rut of doing the same thing day in and day out.
What worked last time, won’t always work every time. As a business owner, it is your responsibility to grow your pipeline and that means adding new techniques and tactics, and removing old outdated inefficient ones. As a business owner, you need to:
- Evaluate your current marketing activities
- Know your numbers (i.e. ROI, operating costs, customer acquisition cost, etc.)
- Evaluate your customer and their experience with your brand
- Create a marketing plan and evaluate it monthly!
That list could be much longer, but I think you get the point! You need to know what you are currently doing, what you have done and what you plan on doing when it comes to marketing your business. If you can’t honestly tell what ROI you received from an activity then scratch it off your future planning and find something that can be measured.
